Technically, I got this new baby on Friday. I'm just a little slow. :)

I was looking at a couple of used Taylors at Guitar Center but they were the older models with the piezo pickup, not their ES2 system. I found a pretty good deal on Reverb, made an offer, and it was accepted. I was surprised when I got the shipping notice that it would arrive Thursday but I worked from home. All for naught, unfortunately. I worked from home again Friday and it finally arrived about 4pm.

I've been playing since the weekend and I'm in love. Absolutely love this guitar! I've had a Washburn electric/acoustic for over 20 years and this is my first acoustic purchase since then. Totally stoked to have a new one.

Nice! After the purchase of my 414CE, I've become a big Taylor fan. A guy I jam with has Taylor 12 string, it sounds so sweet I hate to play it so as not to develop GAS lol.

Bang for the buck, it's hard to beat the Taylor 100, 200, and 300 series.
It's hard to beat the 400 series as well, but they're no longer "budget" models ;)

Very nice, I love how easy Taylor’s are to play, they’re always set up and put together so well. it’s more like playing an electric than my pig of a J45. I also think a lot of the differences between the cheaper and more expensive models drop away once your plugged in...

Very nice. I had a 214 Dlx a few years ago. Just to make sure you know while it is not under the saddle like the ES1 the ES2 still uses piezo crystals it just locates them behind the saddle instead of under it. I will say though of the ES2 sounds better than any other piezo system I have ever tried.

I hear ya. I was playing a Taylor 150ew today and it sounded great. Compared it against a Fender and Martin (?) and really preferred the sound of the Taylor. 10% off isn't much but I'd save close to $90.

Ah. I guess I didn't realize that. Thanks for the clarification. So far, I'm really enjoying the sound.

Ha. I didn't even notice. My house isn't that nice, so they're the seller's pics. :D
