    I have to say it...
    I adore my new guitar.

I posted my NGD thread in November when I got it, but now Ive had a couple of months to get to know it. Thought Id post my thoughts.

Its a limited edition FCS 68 relic strat. Hand wound 69 neck HW Fat50s middle and HW Texas Special bridge. Its my first FCS.

I bought it online without auditioning. The risk was worth it.

This guitar has exceeded my expectations by orders of magnitude and I can not imagine a better playing and more beautiful looking (in my eyes) instrument.

I wont go into all the usual superlatives (neck like butter ect), I'll just say it does everything I can physically do on a guitar effortlessly and pleasurably.

The pick ups are just phenomenal. The neck is that squishy springy sorta sound that gets the sweet Jimi thing no worries. And the bridge is nasty and chunky. Im trying to find the right hight for the middle with miner tweaks here and there, but it still sounds wonderful.

It might sound strange, but I sometimes just look at it. And I cant believe how cool it looks. As a Jimi Deciple, his black strat has always been my favourite, so having one like his is just mind blowing. I cant believe its mine.

If anyone is thinking avout FCS, do it. These guitars are amazing. Im so happy with my purchase.

That thing is awesome! One of the few relics that I’ve liked the looks of

how is the Texas special in the neck? Is it harsh? Wondering about how those 3 pickups blend / work / sound together

I really don't like big headstocks or relics. But that looks ace, nice one.

Ha! It is well paired. Id never thought of that. Its a 71. Great match for a 68 strat. Thanks for pointing that out.

That is one fine looking guitar. I agree with you on the FCS guitars. The two I own are the best feeling and playing Strats I've got and get played a lot. Congrats. ENJOY!!!

Yep never been a fan of the big headstock except on Jimi’s black Strat.

Honestly with the relic job this looks even better.

Isn’t great when you feel like this about a guitar too? Got to enjoy that feeling.
