I just bought a set of Schaller locking tuners (they look identical to yours except for the F logo) and mine are not staggered. The guitar I put them on had staggered non-locking tuners and now I wonder if I will if I will have problems staying in tune. Oh well, time will tell. Good luck with your new guitar, it's a beauty.

Wow, every set I've owned or seen until now, including the ones I was just looking at at the store the other day are two height staggered posts like this.

I bought a couple extra so I could custom stagger my Tele (which is why I only have two tall posts one this set). Could be they do different things for different models, who knows?
What I do know is that's one sweet guitar you have there.

Thanks! I your pic with the staggered tuning posts, I see you have 2 string trees. Mine has only one, and it is set further back, towards the top of the headlock. This new design also allows for easier string bends above the nut, a la Jimmy Page etc..;)

Mine originally only has one tree and I added the second one before I changed the tuners to the lockers. Then I just never took them out because I didn't want the holes in the front of the headstock.

The Elite has 6 low-profile F-logo tuners instead of a mix of short and tall. I think this was the first Fender model to have this arrangement.
If you look at the headstock you see that the D, G, B & E strings have very similar alignment, although only the top 2 have a tree. They work really well.

I’m not at all a tele fan, but that is a nice-looking instrument. Good job. Congrats!
