I had some luck today
HNGD! Nice looking guitar, man!
She is a beauty !!
350 out the door with case a mile from my house from a pawnshop that never has anything. And I talked them down from 499. That's some luck
We were just talking about this in another thread. Bargain price.
Yea that's what made me remember my friend told me they had one down there so I went and boom Bob your uncle ngd
Yeah, we'd struggle to see one for that kind of money downunder unless it had a broken neck pocket or something.
going rate here seems to be about 750 aussie dollars on average. They're not 'uncommon' but not exactly a common version here.
The trans red STS for sale locally a while back which I missed out on still has me a little miffed, because I was too slow to move on it.
Stratocaster used market here in Australia is quite unique. Some of the best strat models go for the craziest cheap prices, and the biggest pieces of crap sell for stupid $. It's no wonder they call this place downunder. Everything is arse about.
2 years ago, an Aerodyne would have sold for 750-800. Today, price is same. compare that to a 59 AVRI or 62 AVRI, which would struggle to get 1500 now, was easily 2500 a couple years ago. The used market self-adjusts, usually to whatever is flavour of the month with local artists / performers. Of course, Seller Ego and false modesty also have a bearing on the advertised prices...
Someone was selling a beat-up norlin era les paul for 7500 the other day. same thing on reverb would be about 900USD including shipping. Makes you laugh.
Yea I could see where that would be frustrating
very stylish, congrats!
I saw the pic and said to myself oooooh, Aerodyne. Then I saw the second post.
That's a thing of beauty
Thanks I caught a big break today
Very cool guitar! Congrats!
Holy crap that's pretty. I'm still new to Strats. (That's my excuse.) Sooooooo, that's an Aerodyne? I want one. Curvy top, rear route, binding. I'm in!
Very nice! Happy NGD!
Well the curvy top is on all of them but the rear route was only done for one year. Most have a pickguard.
Oh, and most are 7.25r fret board which might puts some ppl off, and some are even Gibson style, short scale.
Thank you. Good to know. I'm ok with all those specs. I.do prefer that rear rout .
