I just bought an Eastman SB59. I had never seen one in person before. Very, very nice guitar. It's flawless.

    -One piece mahogany body
    -One piece mahogany neck
    -Nitro finish
    -Ebony fretboard
    -Maple top
    -Duncan '59s
    -ABR style bridge

    Even the case is nice.[IMG][IMG]

Nicer than any other Chinese guitars I've seen. Actually quite nice and a good value.
    Happy NGD!

No paint in the control cavity?

    Wierd.

Nice smooth gradation to the burst.

You had to open the control cavity to retrieve a lost pick? How did it get in there?

Guitar is beautiful. Pick looks like a potential murder weapon.

I have seen some yootoob vids about those guitars. They are very nice. Actually hand made from high quality materials. From everything I've heard, they are on par with the Gibson custom shop, for a lot less money.

Are they setup in the USA like a lot of higher end Chinese guitars? That seems to be a thing nowadays.

You know, I'm not sure. If they are hanging up in a decent shop they should get the once over before being hung on the wall regardless.

They are high end, handmade, custom shop level guitars that happen to be made in China.

I don't know squat about the brand, but if it sounds half as good as it looks, you picked a winner!

I'm blown away by it. I had a teaburst Gibson Heritage Classic that wasn't near as good as this one.

Not into LPs, but that looks great. All the Eastmans I've seen were really nice. There was one of their cheapo PCH line of acoustics at a local store awhile back and it was a great sounding and playing guitar-- for $279!
