Spring Morning: this is a song I wrote 20 years ago, but never actually recorded properly. It is supposed to capture the feeling of the first true spring morning after a long cold winter, where you stand outside in the early morning light, looking towards the sunrise, and realize it’s not quite as cold anymore. It’s a nice feeling.

    hi floyd!
i'm working on 'that' sound, all the time.
i'm glad you can hear it.

howdy stonetone, thanks so much for listening! it's a thing i've done on electric for a long time, and finally worked it into a proper song.

i had just gotten my new fuzz when i did this song (Barber Exacta), so i tried to figure out a way to use a nasty ole fuzz in what would normally be a nice, proper, soft ballad.
    LOL

i liked that guitar player back in the day,
    what was his name?
i think it was andrew powell..
i really haven't listened to those guys since the 70's, but wow, you pulled that one out,
    makes me very curious.

    thanks for the comments!

    rockdog,
    thanks man, i appreciate it.
you know, i can't help thinking of songs with at least 2 guitar parts that work together and against each other,
i harken back to my love of lou reed's 'rock and roll animal' album, with hunter and wagner, that always scratched an itch.
wishbone was the same that way.

    p.s.
i wonder, if the guys in lynyrd skynyrd ever listened to wishbone ash...
    i would not be surprised...

    hey stratodsdane, thanks for listening...
    yea, it's a morning song.

    the ending...
i think i've got 8 or 9 guitars going at once there,
two clean chimey parts left and right, two grittier rhythms doing the same thing, and 4 harmony solo parts...
i've forgotten my mixes by now,so i'd have to pull the session up and look at it to know for sure!
