Something like 10 or 15 years ago, I had a clone of a tweed 5f2a, a Princeton dubbed "The Prince Gautama" (or Prince G for short) that was built for me by Fezz Parka.

For a list of reasons I won't go into, I ended up selling the amp to a friend. And regretting it.

Well, he hasn't used it in years, and after a little gentle prodding, he's decided to sell it back to me.

So, the Prince G., legendary companion to the once-legendary Zencaster, is coming home where it belongs.

I'll post pics on the special day.

Good for you... I love my 5F2-A clone that I built as a head. It sounds really good and is extremely simple. To me it's an ideal home amp.

This is exciting. That amp was a very special build. Single ended 6L6 ( a STR387 Sylvania)...a studio amp. Eminence blue frame AlNiCo 10 ( the early one with the paper former). Jim chose the cosmetics, I hand selected the components and built the amp.

Good to see it's going home. :D

That is a cool story. It's a rare thing, when you get back a piece of gear that you sold, especially if you regretted having sold it.
