Not in a widespread long power outage. Batteries last a while but then it's generators being towed around.
Good fortune to you that have to deal with it.

And you've always been able to trust what PG&E tells you...
funny. We depend on hurricanes and such to take power down for days. New house has a 30KW generator that keeps the entire house up. Your bird rescue should consider a decent sized generator from Home Depot or Lowes to keep important equipment running. They are not that expensive.

I live in the mountains east of San Diego and we get two or three outages a year...but we are used to it and are prepared...good luck to you all.

This just in, California's largest wildfire in the history of the state was ignited by a man trying to start his gas powered generator after PG&E shut off his power.;
The wind is barely blowing and my car was dripping wet this morning...so much for dry hot winds...scam much?
I am Calling B.S. on This. They are Either Totally Incompetent or have Benn Lying all along about their Maintenance records in the past.
But they needed the money from the gig to pay the electric bill...
