Pretty radical move but this is what our future is going to be like due to our resource mismanagement and over population.A taste of things to come.
And a refrigerator designed to run at 24 vdc. I had one in New Mexico. Regular refrigerators have a hard startup that will pull a lot of amps. Microwaves are out of the question. Run those off a generator. But lights, laptop computers, music devices will all run fine, especially during the peak sun hours. I even converted a swamp cooler to run on 24vdc.
Not if your growing under lights.

Luckily for me, I’m in Richmond Annex, in between I-80 and San Francisco Bay, just about one block in. We were just outside the fringes of power outages.
