I am glad to hear that the surgery went well. I will be praying that you have a quick recovery. Happy NKD, may this one serve you well for many years. I am glad you have retained your positive attitude and sense of humor.
Thank you to everyone who has been here and for all of the support. This place is such a great place and you guys are great. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Apparently the doctor took you literally. I will be non-weight bearing for at least the next 3 to 4 weeks since there is a hairline crack in my femur now. I got a chuckle out of the name of the unit he used. It's made by DePuy and called the Attune. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
So now I am either getting officially old or officially smarter. I just got back from the mart of walls with Mrs. Believer. We bought me a new shower Stool. Roght now, I'm leaning more toward smarter because I know I'm not that old. 1 Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
My wonderful wife had a great idea today. She thought it would be good to get me out of the house, even if for only a few minutes. So we decided to make the 1/4 mile (round trip) to the mail box and back. I thought to myself, what a novel idea and got my flip flop on and got ready. I didn't think about 2 things...1 I'm non-weight bearing on my new knee due to the broken femur so I'm on crutches again. Secondly, it's 98°F with a dewpoint of 82° which means tge heat index in the shade is set to Hell! As much as I like the heat and would take 110° in the shade over 40° anywhere that humidity mixed with the need to use my upper body to walk made me feel like I was the most out of shape blob on the planet. By the time we got back inside all I could do was lay down on the couch, drink a quart of water and fall asleep. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
I'm glad to hear that you're back home, I am praying for quick recovery. May the bone heal well, and may you have no more knee trouble.
Bit of a Tutankhamun Kneecaster. Glad to see they haven’t lost your Sunday socks. Good to see you on the mend
Whew boy, last night was a rough one for sure. Before I went into the hospital I would normally have one Bang energy drink a day, sometimes two. But I hadn't had one since the Sunday before, so a week ago. Last night I was feeling really good about how I was progressing and we decided that we didn't want to cook so we ordered in some pizza, which is full of sodium to start, and I washed it doun with a Piña Colada flavored Bang, my favorite by the way. My blood pressure skyrocketed and I felt every elevated heartbeat in my knee and it pretty much made me wish I was dead for about 7 hours. Yep, it's safe to say that I wont be touching those things again for most of the summer. I may not be the sharpest tack in the package but I do at least learn from my experiences...and lesson learned . Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
h Might be unfortunate phrasing! Hope you mean the other knee! Seriously, hope all goes well and may God speed your recovery Believer7713
Thank you @Wrighty. I think what he meant is to keep you guys updated as to the recovery on the backside of having surgery. All is good. Keep all things rockin' Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Bummer you don't get to try out the new knee yet too much as the femur has a crack. 6 weeks without flying splits will go by quick.
But my whole stage persona when I play at church is EVH flying splits and Pete Townsend windmills. What am I going to do now? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
