Just received my Blond 50s, next to it is the Fiesta Red 60s. Really digging these teles. I am surprised that I actually like the U shape on the 50s tele, MUCH more than the "Soft V" on the Strat....

I bought the AO 50 and the LPB AO 60 Teles at the same time last January. Both awesome guitars. I returned the 60’s as switching from the fat U to that slim C kept feeling odd to me. Especially considering I have the EJ Strat with its fat neck. I also preferred the tone of the 50’s over the 60’s a bit more. The LPB with bound body and a dark RW board was gorgeous though.

I am the opposite - while I did like the neck of the 50s over the soft V, I prefer my other C and D necks...so this one will go for sale sometime soon...

That’s good you figured out what shape you dig. I prefer 50’s style necks like fat Fenders and Gibson. That’s why it took me so long to find the right PRS. I could not stand the pattern thin necks 90% of them come with. Finally found my Custom 22 with the regular Pattern neck which is very close to the EJ in shape and size.

Surething... I have tried U, soft V, C, and D...no doubts in my mind the C and D are for me. Also, the Rosewood vs Maple fingerboard, I can really take either...no preference there... I like the vintage looks of the 9.5 radius, also like that doesn't feel like an acoustic with a flatter fingerboard, gives a different vibe going from acoustic to electric and vice versa...

just a bit of work raising the B string a bit and bending with high E is a breeze, all other strings bend from top down....

If you want true vintage spec try a 7.25 radius. Chording is awesome on 7.25
