New tele day. Actually it arrived late last Tuesday, but I got wrapped up playing it that night and 9-11 didn’t seem like a good time for a NGD post. Anyway, finally getting around to it. Gotta give a shout out to @vid1900 and his PSAs or I wouldn’t have purchased this guitar. I’m a long time strat guy who’s never owned a tele, but a friend I play guitars with has a couple and I’ve been wanting to add one to the fold for a few years. It’s also the first G&L I’ve ever played and I have to say that I’m impressed with how this one played right out of the box. A box that arrived from a very cool address I might add, see photo below. A quick once over and quick tune up and I was off to the races. Action is pretty much how I like it on my strats, a little high, the fret ends are good, intonation good, and the satin finish on the neck is silky smooth. The pickups are pretty well balanced volume wise so I doubt I’ll even mess with the pickup height. They sound great too, the single has that classic tele bite and the middle position sounds great too. I really dig the individual brass barrel saddles with black hardware and the blue sparkle paint job is flawless as far as I can tell. It definitely has an eye candy factor. Anyway, I’ll stop spewing about it, but it’s a keeper.
