I’m going to the “big city“ tomorrow and am planning on buying an FSR Strat that I saw last time I was there.
It’s a Sherwood Green Professional with the solid rosewood neck.
I have a 1997 Olympic white with rosewood board and first gen noiseless pickups, a 2018 Champagne Elite SSS with rosewood board and a 2012 3 tone sunburst Deluxe HSS.
Hoping that another SSS isn’t complete overkill, also hoping that the pickups are more Strat like than the noiseless variety that I have.
Anyone have any issues with those solid rosewood necks?
Any thoughts on this guitar at all?
I’ll post pics as soon as I have it.

I have not had any issues with the rosewood neck on mine. I love the feel of it and it is still nice and straight. I have heard some say they have seen some twist. I have not seen any evidence of that on mine.

I Have an Ernie Ball Musicman that has a solid rosewood neck and is 8 years old! The neck is extremely nice in every way, and has not had any issues at all that I am aware of. Plus it is visually beautiful!!

Music Man necks are the best in the business. Fenders are more risky, but if you're buying new, at least you have the warranty. I wouldn't worry, really. That sounds like a beautiful and excellent guitar. You'll enjoy the sonic difference v/v your Noiseless.

It sounds like you need a maple neck.

Maple on a Strat doesn’t do it for me for some reason, I’ve been there before. On a Tele, whole different experience.

It's funny to see the different taste on guitars...For me there is no way I would buy a Strat with something else than Maple...but for a Telecaster, i would'nt mind :)

I go for maple on both, no idea why really, possibly because my first decent guitar was a MIM Tele with maple neck.

I didn’t think I had a preference but after getting a strat with a maple board, it just didn’t seem right to me. All of my other strats have had rosewood. But the actual rosewood neck is awesome to me. I love them.

I might change out the guard to an anodized gold aluminum one. Already changed the tuners to locking ones.
