I totally agree. Just saying this was not what I expected to see in the new listings on reverb this morning. And because I like oddball stuff I would buy that if i could afford to. If they were asking $200 id jump on it

I have no collection. Just my 2013 American standard.

But yeah I do have an eye for unusual things.

Actually I lied. I do have an odd ball item. I own and authentic digeredoo (pretty sure I spelled that wrong). Hand painted and is an actual hollow tree limb. My mom took a month long trip to Australia years ago and got it for me had it shipped back to the states. I can make noise with it but cannot play as I do not know the finer points of circular breathing.

I wish the same...albeit for different reasons.

I do, however, have a small collection of cheap percussive instruments, rainsticks, maraccas, toms and stuff I don't know the proper name for. I like your digeredoo.

Do not ever get any of the USSR made monsters. You have no idea how horrific these guitars can be. Funny irregular shapes - yeah, but those are unplayable. I know so many people who quit music forever because of these…

even in the early 90s these abominations were everything you could get in post-ussr space and chinese made squier my classmate got in 95 or so was a guitar from space.

if you’re looking for something “interesting” that is not ultimately just dangerous- try Musima Deluxe 25, i had one of those when i was a kid. It can be made playable and interesting.

I bought a couple of necks from AntonioTsai in 2004.
The inlays were awesome but the necks needed work, fret leveling, nut etc.
They were shipped from Vietnam and if I recall correctly he had a school teaching how to do inlay work.
At the time I paid $24 plus $12 for shipping and the inlay was a Dragon with wings and went the length of the fretboard. The neck was a 5 piece Mahogany and the Maple laminated.

He used to have dozens of guitars on ebay daily and they were very inexpensive

Was it made near a nuclear plant? It definately has some abnormal growths.

I'd like to say it looks normal to me, but no such luck.

Oh I agree. A lot of work for such a terrible result. But yes, a couple hundred and I’d be all over it.
