Our band has been requested to perform at a friend's wedding. We face two challenges:

    • On average we have the skillset of a bunch of 6-year-olds in their first year of general musical appreciation class
    • The bride-to-be is a complete Disney nut

And so we've been requested to do a Disney song. They just didn't specify which one. It doesn't really matter, as the bride will know each one by heart anyway.

So I'm looking for a song which meets the following requirements:

    - The song must have been used in a Disney film (cartoon or live-action)
    - It has to be suitable for a wedding
    - It can't be a duet (only one vocalist)
    - It has to be easy to learn (quite short notice)
    - I'd like to retain the enamel on my teeth as well (sugar content of song)

    Any suggestions?

So far all we've been able to come up with was 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'.

P.S. Why can't I put more than one bulleted list in a post? If I try to add a second one, everything becomes bulleted.

King of the swingers from the Jungle book is a great tune but you’ll need some decent chops to do it justice.

Circle of Life from the Lion King is probably a good wedding song...

Probably not Let it Go from Frozen

I would say "Once Upon a Dream" but that's not easy to learn on short notice. :( Unless you do it a cappella? But you've only got one singer . . .

How about "its a small world"? You really only need to know that one part and then just keep on repeating it 99 bottles of beer on the wall-style :p

King of the swingers? Based on the title that will go down well with the relatives… :D

    That's a duet, isn't it?

In the movie, but you could sing it solo.

Never mind, it's too hard anyway to learn on short notice.

    How about: (skip to 00:15)

Pretty easy if you can get the hang of it, not too sappy, guaranteed to get awws.

I think you've nailed it with "can you feel the love tonight..." I can hear you singing this.

So it's not "ceremony" sensitive. Wow. So many options.

Under the Sea is a rocker. If you wanna get them singing.

I second this one. It’s appropriate for a wedding, it has a slow pace, and is easy to play.
