well thank you, then i'm the lucky one!!!
The DZ5004039 is the serial number, you can always send an email to Fender Customer Service for more information.
The 010-1302-503 is the model number, [American Deluxe Strat]
The 0600560841 I would guess is the GC stock number. Of course that won't tell you who, or how many people have owned it.
They'll be able to tell you what Store the instrument was shipped to initially....
Didn’t know you were Irish.
I have the exact same guitar, and it is my favorite of my 21 guitars and five strats. Bought it new at Guitar Center in 2005.
have you still got the guitar center tag for it ?
how does it compare with my tag?
It's probably not possible to tell based on the barcode, that would basically just equate to an entry in a point of sale system. And, since you can return something to any guitar center store, that's likely just a centralized database.
Unless you work for guitar center and attempt to actually return it, or you physically attempt to, then it might tell you where it was purchased and when.
wouldn't ponder a great deal here for The Lia Fáil of replies. I would play the beejaysus out of it and carry on...notice my avatar picture in the background....Hurling ! The other use for ash...I started a team here and played 'till the creaks in the knees were louder than the clash of the ash
and the answer I got from GC is......
drumroll . . . . . ..........
It was bought on 8/19/05 out of Fall Church Virginia.
Now I'm happy,
It will now have a Birthday !!!
*ALMOST* – heaven... East Virginia! 8 pints of Guinness on the 19th of August!?
oh yeh !!!!
Wow great job!
And good for GC to do that.
Very cool, I would not have thought it possible!
How do you like that neck? It's not too unlike my old man's '56. After I gave it to my daughter for her 18th birthday I almost bought the Desert Sand one for myself, then one like yours, then got all addicted to building my own partscasters. But I still feel the itch when I see that one come up on reverb or ebay. Congratulations on a killer guitar.
thanks a lot, yeh I love the feel of the neck,
plays and sounds great....
nee to take better pics of it...
maybe today !.....
