I probably haven't seen a Grammy, or any other awards show since about 1970. But the race I'm watching had Wiz Khalifa at the halftime break. I think he's won a Grammy or two. I don't think I'm in the target demographic anymore

I see Beyonce made history last night at the Grammys.
Didn't watch myself, but I was interested in one category... Best Country Duo.
I was rootin' for the Brothers Osborne. They didn't get it. Life goes on.

Last time I saw anything grammy related was when jethro tull beat out metallica for hard rock/metal award. Thinking 89/90 time frame.

Imo, award shows are akin to self-licking ice cream cones. And what might have been tasty sprinkles do nothing to increase the satisfaction.

I don't watch awards shows. Was caused to a few times in my life. Painful. Scripted nonsense and I rarely agreed with the choices.

There was a controversy on some words in Beyonce’s new album. I looked up the lyrics and realized it wasn’t in English.
Other than that I saw in the news a couple of people I never heard of won something.
Looking forward to the next hockey game.

I enjoyed the Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and Chris Stapleton set… Smokey is 83 and still got it….

And I never thought I’d enjoy the salute to Hip Hop but I did. To see RUN DMC, Public Enemy, Missy Elliot and LL Cool J and others backed by the Roots I found very enjoyable.

The Brandy Carlisle performance was well done also. She had the twins on guitar and bass. Both shaved head, skinny and dressed in black… I’m sure they are not twins but it gave her line up a certain look…

I’ll also admit I forced myself to watch it because the last few years I’ve turned it off.
