Geez, I thought I had a bad case of whatever this is. But what struck me first about the pic was that it was of a case collection. I usually avoid buying multiple examples of the same guitar, and am thrilled when I get a case that’s odd or uncommon, as then the racks have a little variety in their appearance too. But the case uniformity displayed here is phenomenal. The force is strong in this one!
I get it and yet at the same time I don't understand. I have about a dozen electrics and could get down to about half of that but it would be difficult to only have one. A strat, a LP. my Casino, a tele and a couple of others are all a joy to play, However if only one was to be had, it would be my CIJ strat. I need an acoustic and can't imagine not having one, but even there do I really need the other nine? My answer is of course I do.
I choose Many. Some of my guitars used to belong to relatives who have passed, I couldn't sell those even though some of them are not really players. But I like a variety. Classical, steel string acoustic, Strat, Tele, Casino, Jaguar, SBG500, and a couple of basses. I play them all occasionally. Classical most often. I could live with just one Strat, but I have more than that.
That’s impressive but wouldn’t work for me. I hate messing with cases. I did it that way for years. Never again. They all hang on the wall at my house. They get played far often now. I stash the cases in our storage room. Out of sight out of mind. I only use the cases when the guitars leave my house.
I'm the same way if they are in cases they just wont get played. I hang them on wall and they get played some more then others depends on mood I guess.
If I could put strings on a spoon, I would. Not sure but I think I may have hit the 100 mark. Many guitars and 1 woman at a time, unless she has a sister.
I'm getting down to 6 guitars, or rather 3 x 2. Basically 3 x LPs and 3 x 335 style, which is 1 main LP and 335 and 2 backups of each for gigging. Letting go of the others is suprisingly easy....
I have many, and I like it that way. It’s fun, I can afford it, I don’t have any other hobbies that cost money, and playing never gets old.
If I can't see my guitars I get miserable, cases are for travel only ! You don't get a beautiful thing and hide it away ? Surely Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I know I checked out your sound cloud I assume the guitars correspond to the track s ? Some nice guitars there Harley Benton have just brought these out for around £400 and thought of your self when I saw it .
The problem I have is there is no where in my house to put out all my guitars for a group picture. I have the following: 6 Gretsch 4 Gibson 2 Martins 2 Fenders 3 Squiers subject to additional purchases.
Cool, that looks interesting. Yep... most of the time, if you see a guitar, it's the one that you are hearing on that track. The main exception would be if you see the blue double bound tele... that's the default pic, and it's a stock photo. i do have one like it, but mine is much more beat up looking than that one. No problem some cool tracks there , and they look quite nice those Harley bentons they were rumoured to bringing out a 7 string with a trem out as well eventually .
If you can afford it then get the guitars you want to play. I have 7. My rule is to get rid of guitars that don't get enough play to justify owning them.
