Hah! Yeah, I'll be using my Les Paul and Orange amp through an Orange 4x12 cabinet (both virtual from the Zoom G1on multieffects pedal).

I put a couple of backing guitars in to add variety, but this is a plug-in and go. I even forgot to add a fadeout!

I used the Les Paul for the rhythm parts panned full-left and full-right (that you can't hear) and the Strat for the solo fills -- that overpowered the Les Paul, unfortunately. Oh well.

There's a "nod" to Black Sabbath's Electric Funeral in there, too.

The bass riff is undoubtedly fretted as minor but the bassist is doing the old Jack Bruce trick of bending the the string somewhere between minor and major. It's one of the reasons a song like Spoonful never sounds right played on organ. The guitar part could well include an E7, for instance, making the feel more major than minor. Well, that's how I hear it, anyway.

To me it's Minor from the bassline, but I used power chords in my take which allows you to make no distinction as far as guitar chords are concerned and leave it to the bass to make the determination. The fills that I used were E Minor Pentatonic.

I did use a half step for a Phrygian-like feel in a few places as did @Alan L Cole but he featured the Phrygian mode more predominantly in his solo.

It was 2 takes….cos I lost the plot halfway through….and the backwards guitar at the start was added as an edit.
