I've been debating for a while now, about swapping it out for another colour, I was thinking tortoise shell, dark or light, not sure...... I see pictures on amazon, so many variants, and if I find one I like, and order it, is it the same colour when I get it? Any, and all opinions, to any other colour welcome

    The colour is Walnut

That black looks best and looks the most vintage true/correct also, for a late 1970s Strat....it just looks right, plus you also have the big headstock....

I think the black does it the best justice in my opinion.

I’d try parchment but keep the black covers and knobs.

It looks great as it is. Great color, reminds of those 70s Mocha Brown strats.

    I do like tortoise pickguards.
I just don't think it would look right on that colour body, YMMV

FWIW, back in the day the only body colours that got tortoise 'guards were black, white, and sunburst.

It's stunning just as it is.
In this case, don't try to turn the knob to 11.

That's a really nice looking guitar, I like the black that's on it. Good luck.

Perfect as is with black...it has that 1970s aesthetic.Maybe white knobs and pickup covers and switch tip to contrast with the pickguard which was also a 1970s look for a while. If you are gonna switch pickguards then white or parchment. But I personally would leave it black as is.
