I just realised that I became eligible for the TDPRI over 60s club over a year ago. I'm not sure I want to join and admit it though. Always nice to see you @TheGreenHornet.
Thank you, simoncroft, zurkcorzdog and everybody else who kept the thread going and helping out. Welcome all new posters to the club! Anybody here can welcome a new member too.
And Katy Kerry thanks you..but wants financial compensation for digging you out of that hole over at the Gibson forum way back yonder. Maybe you can pass her the buck.
I used to hate white guitars. My friend explained what it was all about. 1. It is a very formal color, as black is. 2. Additionally, it shows up on stage better than all others colors. White is a great choice! Now, Katy Perry. That is one nice picture of her. Very beautiful woman.
Bump. Lots of new old fogies since this thread was last up front.
Holy smokes, the last post was over a year ago before your bump... I hope Covid isn't to blame
I'm still old! And not dead yet.
But speaking of the lockdown, I only recently got my hair cut, after like a year and a half of letting it go. I vowed to play at least one gig looking like a hippie.
With the goldtop Gretsch Pro Jet.
Enjoy every day of your life. Soon you will be old and think where did all the time go by so fast? Now I am fighting fibromyalgia and lewy body disease. My skills on guitar have plummeted, my memory is going but I still have a love for guitars and music. I really cannot contribute to forums on advice anymore. It has been years since I have played in a band, but when I did I could play with fire. I miss those days so I suggest enjoy them while you can.
Mojo sent! I'm 63 and relatively healthy (despite having had throat cancer about 11 years ago, and having had my jaw fall apart due to the radiation treatments, being rebuilt about 6 years back). I still bar-gig some, occasionally record, and am thinking about doing a weekly church gig again. My main band is in tatters (two guys got married and moved, and the married guy separated and moved!), but I'm working on that.
Wise words @TheGreenHornet , and I hope you'll keep in touch with the rest of us when you can. I'm really sorry to hear of your medical conditions, but I hope that if they have names, that means they're being treated.
Oddly enough, I was thinking about this thread only a couple of days ago. I'm grateful for the 'bump' and the subsequent posts, because it's made me realise how many half-completed musical projects I would like to see finished before I lose the ability. Thanks for the kick up the butt!
66 and 1/12th from the neck down.
16 from the neck up.
Good to hear from you. Oftentimes I have wanted to pull this thread up but couldn't find it.
Thanks to your recent post I found it.
Prayers for all the health issues.
I think about it every now & again but it wasn't until @TheGreenHornet showing up in a thread that enabled me to actually follow through with a bumper.
