Here's my Califórnia style avocado/bacon/tomato toast.

I've rarely had a sandwich I thought was overrated. But there are some I don't like as much as others: Pulled pork, French dip, or any sandwich without some kind of sauce (at least mustard & mayo, etc.). I do like mixed salads on a sandwich (tuna salad, chicken salad, etc.). But sometimes I'd eat even those I don't like so much, if I was hungry.

Italian subs are one of my favorites.. I especially like the Italian sub from Jersey Mike's done "Mike's way" (the works).

There's a Greek cafe in my area called The Mad Greek. Their signature sandwich, the Mad Greek, is pretty big and pretty good (and it usually makes 2 meals for me). It's somewhat similar to an Italian sub. These aren't my photos - I found them online:

I dunno. Part of the point of a good sandwich is that each bite contains a number of different flavours and textures that work together. If the sandwich is so huge that you can't get some of everything in each bite, it's a bad sandwich design. In my opinion, of course.

Any sandwich that has bread too difficult to bite off and chew, as in rubbery rolls, or extremely hard crust.

Let's say that inferior, stale, or otherwise just bad stuff is not excusable on any sandwich - or food of any sort, for that matter.

Some of those piled-high "Dagwood" things are better looking than they are easy to eat.

No, really, it's pretty close to a pound. Basically, they grab a big handful of bacon and chuck it into a deep fryer. It's a pretty giant stack of bacon, served on white bread with mayo. Nothing fancy. But if you want a BLT, trust me, that's the one you want. And chili. The chili is good. And the milkshake. Yeah, you want that, too.

    :)

Shark Sandwich is underrated. Deserved way more than the two word review it got.

I remember seeing the delivery man from Manganaro's Hero Boy pushing their 6' Sub down 9th Ave on a cart.
