Got me a cheap but great Subzero paradigm with alnico V p90s. Needed a bit of attention for set up but, with the fretboard rolled and levelled, nut filed properly and locking tuners, it's a great playing and sound guitar.

One in the making. Humbucker sized p90s going in this. No idea how they will hold up, but alnico ii and appear to be a modified humbucker bobbin. Height the same as a p90 but the winding is not as wide as a p90. We'll see.
I still fancy a LP p90 guitar. Maybe a special?.

My current P90 guitar is an Epiphone ES339 P90 Pro. It's a nice guitar but I've always wanted a TV Yellow singlecut Gibson LP Special and I think I'm gonna trade the Epi and one of my Strats in for the LP Special in the near future.

Hard to find what I want, so DIY path worked for me best! Reclaimed pine…

This is a 1964 epiphone coronet made in Kalamazoo factory before Gibson bought them out.
It’s so light it’s like a toy but a very good player. The neck is smaller like a C fender.

I found out recently my old friend is married to one of Orville Gibsons granddaughters 😂I’ve known her for 30 years without knowing that she’s his granddaughter.
She sent me a file of old Gibson pix

Needs a bit of set-up tweaking and a ground wire looked at, but it's alive now.

This started as a chocolate brown SX LP Special, but the finish was finished. So, I decided to wrap it.

I think this is an old pic. I switched from .5"-.25" white pinstriping, to simulate binding. Now, I'm gonna switch the white to cream pinstriping... white's too stark... may switch the vol and tone knobs to gold, and the tuning buttons to pearloid...
