I just completed my first partscaster last month. Took a lot of time piecing together my favorite aspects of other strats: 2009 Amer. Deluxe loaded pickguard (sumarium cobalt noiseless pups and an S1 switch). Thick C neck from Allparts with a pre-70's headstock but a 70's strat decal because I'd never seen it done before. Vintage klusion style tuners. Callaham bridge. 57 American Vintage Reissue Body in 2TSB.

    Here's some pics of it.
Hope to see some of your creations

I have a few, mostly squiers. The first one is a MIK Bullet neck on a Standard Series body. I replaced the trapezoid tuners with vintage style. The pickups started out as low output ceramics. I replaced the ceramic magnets with alnico 5 pole pieces.

This one has a MIK VN2 neck with vintage tuners, an alder body From an Affinity and a set of Duncan Designed pickups from a Squier Deluxe.

This one has a 2002 Bullet neck, The repainted body from the VN2 and the pickups and electronics fron an Affinity.

This one started out as an $89 Bullet Tele. I replaced the neck with one from a Squier Tele Custom II. The pickups are Wilkinsons and the electronics feature a push-pull tone pot to split the humbuckers, full size volume pot, orange drop cap and a 4 way switch.

This one is one of my favorites. It has a '98 Affinity 22 fret neck (before they went to the narrow nut width), Fender vintage tuners, a basswood Bullet body , a set of Rose Mariposas and a steel block trem.

Last but not least, this one I built mostly from parts from eBay. The neck is one piece maple. The body is paulownia with a flame maple veneer. It has vintage tuners and a Fender vintage spaced trem. It also has a set of Rose Mariposas.

Mine is being refinished/wired/assembled by Rick Cremer, supposedly one or two weeks left. Can't wait, it's going on one year since I began to compile the necessary parts. It's starting to feel more like a classic car restoration timeline than a guitar build! I tried to post pics but apparently I can't repost from an old thread, so here's the link:

I traded my 2009 American Special Strat for this back in February. When I got it the spec was:

    1998 US Tele neck
    US Sourced Mahogany body
    DiMarzio pickups
    US Sourced Wiring and Hardware.

It was a bit of a mess and I didn't like the pickups. The day that I got it, I brought it to a friend of mine who did the following:

Changed out the pickups for Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials
Replaced the bridge saddles with Fender Saddles
    Upgraded pots and electronics
Full adjustment and set up with 11s

Now it's a one of a kind and it just incredible.

    Thanks!

I love it, it plays great and looks awesome. I'm playing around with the idea of adding a wide range fender humbucker in the neck position like the 72 tele custom.

    My Fiesta Red partcaster

    Road Worn pickguard.
CS Fat 54 pickups, vintage wire and caps.
SRV neck with Grover Kluson Deluxe.
Hwy1 alder body refin in FRed.
Callaham bridge/trem etc, in Vintage Narrow size so there's a tad more room on the outsides of the E strings.

I have a blonde T-Master from Guitar Mill near finished and a GM blonde Tele awaiting a pro setup as well.

I also have another Strat, MIJ bare body, underway:

Partcasters seem to go together without too much drama at all, once you've got some experience at it. From the nut down.

You can pick all your most favorite parts and materials (often as not we use parts that exceed the quality of the factory guitars), so I don't know why the world isn't absolutely full of them.

I even picked out hard cases (by Hiscox which are better/best/great IMHO.

Bringing my 50's Roadworn to a luthier tomorrow to install a vintage spec, rosewood fretboard with SRV profile. Guess this means my stock Roadworn will now be a partscaster?
