I can easily believe that. Most kids can't see beyond what's current and because of that fewer strive to play instruments / look up the greats since music is dominated by mouse and keyboard 'artists.' But there will always be an open minded minority in every generation and those are the ones that will fall in love with bands like the Beatles many years from now.

But yeah, I'm well aware the Beatles aren't topping the average pimple faced kid's playlist in 2021 lol.

    Uhhhh..yeah bud...it's been pointed out and I wasn't sure, as I stated.

My original point is still valid...claiming the Stones imitated everything the Beatles did is a stretch...

"So how's that whole thing workin' out for ya?....being clever?" ---- TD

There needs to be a required mandatory retirement for aged rockers. 65. I can say that cuz I’m 66. I won’t mention names but ROBERT PLANT needs to pack it in too.

I'm just as sure, you know.....if you bothered to do any research at all, the Beatles were done touring after Shea Stadium and had no desire or motivation to tour ever again. George didn't even want to do the rooftop performance which was their last public one and actually threatened to leave the band over that specific issue.

And that was after they hadn't toured for more than 3 years.

Here's an idea...instead being a glib arsehole..commenting on others' thoughts and ideas, how about contributing something useful to the conversation? Or maybe just shut up when grown folks who were actually there are talkin' and learn something?

Everything you see on a TV screen or monitor is designed to get your money, no exceptions, "eyes on" is the mission. No better way to get tongues wagging, free publicity, ink , public eye, then to start up something, throw some shade etc. Hurry hurry get a front seat to the elite rich people bash each other. In reality, Mick calls Paul, tells him, hey were getting a tepid response to this current tour, Sir Paul say something a wanker would and get a fake war started. Everyone lies if there is a dime in it.

Paul is being a Royal D!ck, what's the deal, seems to me after Wings, and that skit with Michael Jackson, he has had few to no releases that took off nationally, just die hard fans would know of them, I recall other comments he made in poor taste, if he thinks the Stones is a Blues cover band what must he think about Aerosmith? (their non radio songs) LOL

Except Robert Plant's solo stuff is great (or at the very least, interesting and experimental). He's managed to stay around so long by very intentionally not trying to imitate the 1973 version of himself.

Even if the Beatles would’ve gotten
As a Beatles fan, the majority of his wings material was bubble gum music.

yes..he's left that to Greta Van Fleet....:)

I read an early interview with them where they listed their influences. Guss who WASN'T on the list. And Robert had nothing but nice things to say about them.

In that case I'll be happy to be dead. Mayer's a great guitar player but an insufferable doosh... and Joe BUYNOWmassa would sell the gold out of his grandmother's teeth...there's nothing he wouldn't put his name on.
