The red Tele is interesting its got a custom pickguard and knob plate made by a guy in Germany I've seen his stuff on Esty before they are pretty pricey, but nice, all metal plates that are well made

    (There’s always a BC Rich)

Pawn shop in my area had a BC strat (sold at Walmart) listed as a BC Rich. The rest of their guitars were trashed and filthy.

We could make a running pawn shop thread and everybody could post pics from their pawn shops.

I don't think I'd take pictures in a pawn shop.

For the first times in decades, I recently checked out a couple of pawn shops. Lots of old Peavey amps, Crate, and once-cool budget guitars for top dollar. I did spot a Fender Ultra Chorus for $200.

I bought a 90s Ibanez 335 ish semi hollow forget the model number with a hardcase. Was nearly mint. Sweet Guitar. Got a nice deal on it (I think $250-275 our the door) about two years ago. Ended up flipping it straight in a trade for a les Paul studio

That’s about the only thing I’ve found Guitar wise at a pawn shop that wasn’t complete junk or completely overpriced

These places were small, and the owners were watching me like hawks. It also looked like they hadn't updated their inventory since the 90s. You still find stuff like that around here but it's disappearing fast.

    Amen to that, brother!

Yes, usually priced pretty high and sitting for a while...

Are you suggesting the products at the strip club are tainted?

Eating, taint, strip club???????????

MY favorite local pawn shop is a pretty cool place. It's family owned and operated. They've been very good about working out trades and slashing their sticker prices for me.....etc. I've noticed that when I check out pawn shops in bigger cities, their prices might as well be retail and they usually don't budge much......especially the bigger franchise shops. My local shop will even let me take a guitar home and check under the hood, etc. You never know these days and to be able to make sure you're getting what's on the headstock is a huge plus. I may be down there tomorrow and take a few pictures.
