So I picked up one of these today, and I am pretty happy so far. Peavey Classic 20w head. Actually, I didn't even know these existed until one turned up on my local Craigslist. I was familiar with all the combos in the Classic series, but I didn;t know they made a head. It's really good. The gain channel is really high gain, so you need to turn the pregain way down to get a usable grit. But it's nice and gritty. Reverb is fine. The cool thing is actually the back, and all the modern features. It includes an effects loop, an attenuator that allows you to choose 20w, 5w, 1w, an emulated line out to go straight to the board, a USB out for recording, a headphone out, and impedance selector. That's a lot of good stuff. None of the Peavey Classic combo amps have all that. Plus it is small and light. Might have a winner here. FYI, that other thing in the photo is a Fender Pro Jr chassis. I'm trying to decide if I want to mount it into the cabinet to make a mashup combo out of it. It sounds pretty friggin good.
