Hey everyone...got a few of the new fender pedals on the way....what is the best order for these to go in in your opinion?
    The Bends Compressor
    Engaged Boost
    Marine Layer Reverb
    Pugilist Distortion
    The Pelt Fuzz...

so, from amp, which goes first, into which, etc...then which finally goes to guitar?

I generally have only used 1-2 pedals so this is an experiment for me.

    thanks!

Reverb/delay last, vibey stuff first, dirty stuff in the middle.

    Just experiment.

That is the answer right there! There is no "correct" order, but there is a common accepted order. Most people would go whah-compressor-distortion/od/fuzz-modulation(flanger, chorus, phaser)-reverbs and delay-noise gate.

Some of the coolest sounds you can get are by putting them in the "wrong" order. For example, chorus into distortion sounds WAY different than distortion into chorus.

You'd probably get better answer if you let everyone know what kind of tones you are after.:thumb:

And that right there is what I mean! LOL The first two responses would put their "vibey" stuff in different spots in the signal chain.

    Too funny!

    Hi, @Jackobeam -Buddy

I would plug from guitar into compressor than distortion than reverb. than boost.
Where reverb would be last on the left of pedal line .
The fuzz pedal may sound better first /to the right of the compressor.

Yeah pro audio is a lot different than guitar effects but it’s my opinion that the comp is the first thing you should plug into. The comp is bringing down the peaks and bringing up the lower parts. It’s lessening the dynamic range and bringing up anything lower in volume like harmonics. So, as well it’s going to bring up the noise floor. If you put the comp last, then you bring up all the noise of all the preceding effects.

A lot of people don’t understand that a limiter is different than a compressor. A limiter just limits peaks and a comp squeezes from both sides. Although if a limiter is set to high ratios, and you juice the gain it will act like a comp. But you again are bringing up the noise floor with the added gain.

The fuzz should go first so that it can interact directly with your pickups.

I will always put reverb last. and the Wah Wah first. then effects that clip or square off the wave second like compressor, fuzz, OD. then a delay, and then flanger, chorus, tremelo, I don't run the last three at the same time.

Worth mentioning when people talk about effects order they list them from guitar to amp. So ‘last’ is going into the amp

    I have:

    guitar > volume > wah > octave > delay > stereo delay > stereo multiprocessor > amp.

The LED lights on the Fender pedals have temporarily blinded me.

The Bends compressor is pretty awesome for sustain. I haven't fooled around too much with it yet though. The Marine Layer reverb has a ton of cool ambient sounds, trying to find the best "normal reverb" sound on it, haha. It can do so much but I hope it can do "just enough" also. Will post feedback and notes as I start fooling around more. Looking forward to the Pugilist distortion and the Pelt fuzz so I can wail.

I have mine in this order, Volume, Wah, Tuner, Soul Food TS9, RAT, FF, Big Muff, DD8, looper into a Radial ABY out to my amps. I have chorus and reverb in the amp. It seems to work okay for me. Sometimes I put the FF right after the tuner.

I like dirt... All of it.. : )

Fender Marine Layer reverb is fantastic. I use Boss Tremolo TR-2 after it. Great for backgrounds.

Do you have an FX loop? If so, sometimes it works best to put some pedals into the loop and keep some out front, depending on the amp.
