Photographs & Memories: His Greatest Hits is a 1974 greatest hits album (and second posthumous release) by Jim Croce, originally released on ABC Records.
The album was released a year after Croce's 1973 death in an airplane crash.

One of my first guitar riff that I learned. I was First Year in high school when this song came out.
My treasured years in Davao City High School are my best years, and love and respect to all my high school friends and classmates.
This song is dedicated to Doris A., currently in the Netherlands.

Hope, Peace and Love!!!

Don't know the song Rene but you've done a great job as usual.
Your voice is better than Jim C.

I do know Davao and the Philippines well though - been there many times and had a GF from Davao once - yes memories and photographs :)

Wow, just. WOW.

I'm a huge JC fan. Hugely underrated guitar player and songwriter. His stuff isn't easy to play, you did stellar there mate! Croce wasn't just some strum along hippie. His songs are soulful, touching, personal and from a musician's POV, (at least mine) hard to play and sing.

Well done indeed! Thanks for keeping his memory alive.

Pls stay healthy, and warm regards.

This is one of my favorite Croce songs. To say you did it justice is a gross understatement.

No I'm australian Rene.
Started going to Philippines 20 years ago on surfing trips to island of Siargao.
Always had to stop over in Cebu on way.

My 1st filipina GF was from Davao doing college in Cebu city.
She then moved back to Davao City for final 2 years so I visited her there x4.

Over following years I've visited most PH islands.
My retirement plan was to live on Palawan but I was only there 6 months before family issues and Covid forced me back to Australia. 😇

Hi Snaked Strat,
Glad to hear about your visits to Siargao, and the many beautiful islands of the Philippines.
I had the privilege of visiting Perth, Western Australia x4, and love your beautiful area as well.
Hope all is well with you at this time.
I also have a very good friend in Hobart.
We are visiting PH early next year, which I am excited, after a few years of Covid.
Warm regards,
Rene

Hi duzie,
Thank you for the very nice feedback!!!
Here is my set-up:
2 mics; Shure SM-58 (guitar), and Ear Trumpet Labs "Edwina" (vocals)
INTO - Yamaha MG10FX Mixer (I am using room reverb #6)
INTO - UAD Volt 2/76 Audio Interface (love the built-in compressor and vintage mic preamp)
INTO - IMAC, I am using Quick Time Player recording a movie

Thanks for asking.
Respectfully,
Rene

Jim Croce was a great guitarist and singer, and his music career may have been a little short due to his plane crash, he was a hero. I always loved the tone he got out of his Ovation guitars.

Hi IMMR,
I am also a long-time Jim Croce fan.
How I wish he is still with us, and I can only imagine the magical song we would be enjoying with his ingenuity!!!
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Rene

Maury Muehleisen was as much a part of that great guitar sound as Jim was. They died together taking one of the world's best guitar partnerships with them :(

Worth noting - when the partnership began, Jim was Maury's backing guitarist.
