I know you are not a fan but tortoise would do it for me.
I love tort on black but that's it.
I like white.
I just found this pic in my imgur account. I don't even remember owning this one lol and it was just a few months ago. I guess white looks alright after all.
Mint or Parchment. White looks cheap, IMO, especially single ply.
Tort. It would match the rosewood on the neck and you would not be adding another distinct color with it.
If you had a maple fretboard, then some version of white or MoTS.
In my opinion: Mint Green all the way. If it has a rosewood fretboard go with mint green.
If the fret board is maple then a single ply white one.
I don't like pearloid fretboards at all...on anything.
Anything, I mean anything, except mint!!!
Mint is soooo shabby!!!
I like stainless.......
I've gone with a 2008 MIM maple neck for now and have left the black guard. I'm picking up another Strat Thursday hopefully that also has a black guard but comes with the original w/b/w so I'll probably put that on and see how it goes.
Here's my surf green Tele with a mint PG and seafoam green Strat with white PG.
