They've got a full high-def concert they show on our local PBS station each year at pledge time. I watch it every time, even if it is interrupted by pledge breaks. It's great stuff. I think you can see the full show on YouTube.

I've not had the opportunity to see them live, but I'd love to. Enjoy the show.

Australian Pink FLoyd are coming to our own Warfield Theatre this coming Sept.22, to be followed by King Crimson one week after.

    Aussie Floyd are amazing!
Seen them twice, both times in my home town of Cambridge.
There's a lot of ironic humour in their show, but my God they nail it!
Always end with Comfortably Numb, and dare I say it (?!) better than the original!

Roger? It's not Pink Floyd - these BF guys do a way better job at Pink Floyd than Roger does. Neither does Gilmour from the videos of his shows I've seen (all of them)
I saw Roger in Providence doing an all Floyd show about 15 years ago and he had Doyle Bramhall II and Snowy White and the music was spot on. The best of the post-classic lineup shows I have seen.

I just went with my son for the Austin TX(CEdar park actually) Lot's of old people and a few kids in the audience. I was impressed with the level of fidelity. These guys get it and it is truly a tribute band. Here's a pic around 20 minutes before the start[IMG]

I saw Brit Floyd in Chattanooga last month. It was phenomenal. The music was very close, the only thing I noticed was much of the guitar was right on the beat instead of playing slightly behind like Gilmour often does. Ian Cattel does a great Roger Waters but not so much David Gilmour. But it's well worth the price and if you sit far enough away from the stage you'll forget this is a tribute band at times.

I saw them this year when they came to Pittsburgh. Amazing show. Great seats. Closest I'll ever get to seeing the real thing. They change their show up every year. Last year was like a Pulse tour...I wish I had seen it. This year they run the gamut from pre-Gilmour stuff on.

I will definitely go back each year. They come here around my birthday in March. Told the girlfriend that I wouldnt mind one bit if that was my birthday present each year. That's how I got go go this year.

They were phenomenal - I've seen them I think now 6 or 7 times including Aussie - 3 times Brit - and they just get better every year - at first they didn't have the lasers and the big half screen, now they have all that with the round screen - and the music is flawless.
Aldere - my son is about the same age (he's 9) and I have a shot like that of him digging it too.

That's awesome. I cant wait till they come back to PGH.

Did you stick around for autographs by any chance? I took my guitar strap hoping to get both Bobby and Damiens signatures, but Damien wasnt at the table. I did get Bobbys and the keyboardists autographs.

How bout that vocalist on Great Gig in the Sky huh? I rarely get chills, but MAN shes powerful.

Get this - last time my boy got a signed pick from Bobby - so this year I told him to go when the last note was played - and he cut thru the crowd and was about #3 in line - but this year neither Bobby or Damien came out - so he got a signed pick from Ian.

They're both now in my tiny collection with Larry Carlton's pick! I play with that every now and then hoping for some osmosis. (95% of the time I play without a pick)

Those big shirts on those tiny guys (yours and mine) are one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

Nick and Bobby are great and their Britfloyd show is popular in the UK too. These guys also own and run the Frethub website which is a great source for some free lesson or you can sub to their lessons for around 6 quid per month which is a bit of a bargain.

I've got no affiliation with them, I'm just a huge floyd fan who found some of their 'how to play floyd' tutorial videos. I've been a fan ever since.

Thanks for the reminder about frethub - I'd forgotten about it and need to give it a shot.

IIRC Bobbie's lessons flipped the video so they aren't leftie.

I've seen a couple floyd tribute bands, all pretty good overall. I did a 360 video of Pigs On The Wing last year:

I will skip the no pink floyd songs tour, for various reasons. I turned down free tickets to waters' current tour, not interested. Maybe be honest and call this one 'some guys who used to be in pink floyd play other people's songs'.
