...in months... like six months (!)... Amazing after all this time with LPs how I just fell in with the vintage V-neck... like water off a duck's back. Didn't realize how much I missed THAT tone. I think she missed me, too... no fight, no tweaking, and came out of the bag in perfect tune. Maybe I'm finding my way back home... We'll see...

I play mine all the time. It splits between that my Tele ( clone) and my SG. I loovvveee my SG but my strAt rocks too, just different tools in the box I guess.
    Enjoy

An interesting thread beginning; as I (after a couple of years with Les Paul's..steady) broke out my '01 American Series (Avatar). I forgot just how comfortable Strats can be to play. It actually led me to look at a 2nd. Strat, and 2 weeks ago I bought a used '12 Amer. Std. in near mint condition. I seem to play better guitar with a Strat.

Yeah it's only after you spend a bit of time with something else that you appreciate just how great an ergonomic design the strat is...

After round 6 months or so playing my 60s MIJ, thought I'd make space and would finally sell my old modded Hw1. Grabbed it and played it and...no, no, no! It remains a keeper. I just love the feel, thesound of it and all! Just couldn't part with it.

I can't imagine playing just an LP or just a Strat. I'm fortunate enough to have choices.

I have to change the one on the floor stand on a weekly basis or some of them wouldn't get played at all.
Maybe I need counselling but my go to guitar always seems to be my battered LP Standard.
Saying that I've just got my 1979 335 back from a refret and I'm finding it hard to put down!

Agree with your statement. Of course, I have had it but two weeks, but it has no drawbacks that I've found yet on this '12 example. The '01 Amer. Series is also a pretty fine guitar and worthy of being labeled a Fender Strat.

Hey Gary, that's a great feeling when you haven't played a guitar for a while and then come back and love it
Glad you're digging the quack again!

Yeah, I tend to get focused on one or two guitars for weeks or months... It occurs to me now that I haven't played the tele in a few months, either...

I just played my American Standard at band practice last night for the first time in a few months. It worked so well for everything, was so versatile, sounded so great, felt so great, and played so well, that now I'm wondering why I ever use anything else.
