Yes, I've experimented with most of these. And some I liked...but not enough to want to keep. And some I didn't like from the git-go.

For now, I'm down to a delay, chorus and overdrive.

So, here's a list of pedal types I don't think I'll ever buy (again). Doesn't mean I can't change my mind, but for now I see/hear no use for them in my music.

Here's my list (in no order)...what's yours?

    Phaser
    Flanger
    Envelope filter
    Vibrato (my amp nails that)
    Reverb (my amp nails that)
    Boost (my amp nails that)
    Fuzz (my amp nails that)
    Tremolo
    Univibe
    Octaver/pitch shifter
    Compressor
    Wah
    Distortion
    EQ

Any others? You can add those in a reply post.

    Have at it!

I don't suppose I'll ever buy another looper pedal.

I checked all of them. The convenience of VSTs for recording, and amp effects have rendered pedals mostly useless to me.

The only difference a uni vibe and a phaser is Uni Vibes have 4 stages, and they're staggered.

Anyway, most of the types in the poll, I don't care for anyway, and I've never owned most of them.

The only pedals I really need are a Fuzz, (proper fuzz, not some digital nonsense), and a wah.

All I use anymore are stereo chorus, reverb, delay and a compressor that only runs to one amp in a stereo setup. It is a stereo pedal though. Maybe a univibe one day or an old wah but probably not

The only pedal on the list that I don't already have one or more of is the envelope filter. o_O

I guarantee you I will be accumulating some more, especially uni-vibes, wah and OD/Distortion. And probably another Reverb/Delay and an octave pedal too. Not in any hurry mind you, but yeah I'll get more eventually. :)

I have the classic Phaser and don't use it. I do not like "distortion" pedals at all. Basic not to gainy overdrive is al I ever or would ever use. No octave/ pitch shifting pedals, thank you. If I found a fuzz I really liked I would consider it. All the rest I either already use or would at least consider.

Well I have no need to buy any pedals as all the pedals I Can ever want are integrated in my Boss GT-100 practically every effect I’d want is there so......;)

All I need... the others are gathering dust. I use Fender amp reverb and play in stereo with a vox AC 4

I don't believe the word "never" even exists in my vocabulary especially after having protested that I would never again buy another Les Paul or a Strat and now I own one of each. But the "least likely" would surely be a full blown Fuzz Pedal.

Yep. I own 2 LP's after swearing them off "forever".

    Never say never.

Right. Because it’s not on my “never” list.

I voted all of the above. I have ~26 pedals (4 distortions, 3 overdrives, 2 compressors, 3 tuners, 1 flanger, 3 delays, 2 wahs, 1 volume pedal, 2 EQ, 4 chorus, and a Boss Line Selector LS-2) and I only use a Boss TU-2 tuner 99% of the time. I also have several processor units Digitech Genesis, Avid Eleven, Peavey Profex II, and an old Alesis rack unit. Although I don't intend to buy anymore , I can't keep myself from buying a pedal now and then on the Musiciansfriend Stupid Deal of the Day if they are $60 or less. Also have a habit of picking up pedals for under $25 at pawn shops.
