I've never really been a fan of country music, but years ago in Brazil, I heard this on the radio - Achy Breaky Heart but with lyrics in Portuguese:

The lyrics seem to be about a mysterious woman who is independent and does her own thing.

Others I know of are the Beatles' "She Loves You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand", which were actually translated into German, and they recorded the German versions themselves.

Are there any popular songs or favorites of yours you know of that had versions recorded in other languages?

Ca Plane Pour Moi - Plastic Bertrand.

A fun tune, but you try singing along, even if you know the words and can speak French: I do, and I can, and I found it really hard. The phrasing in the original is all over the shop!

Also, the words are different, but you should listen to it back to back with Jet Boy Jet Girl by The Damned, and All The People Who Died by Jonny Caroll, and you will go "Ahhhhhh!"

    ;)

    At my antenna served domicile
We have a glut of mexican/(wife prefers latino) channels...
    One was 2.2 LATV
LATV had a lot of music ranging from light rock to metal/punk
    All in Mexican
    But
Lots of slightly large exposed chesticles...
    And
Even old red blood is still red blood....
    And
Loud drum/bass/guitar/keys music still sounds great in most languages(most)
