That's a good start. To really nail the chords try playing simple triads.
This is a very focused and thoughtful take. You paid close attention to the changes! Work it some more my brother and you will gain confidence and authoritative emphasis when needed.
Thank you my brother I know it didn’t meet workshop’s goals as it is melodic only. I’ll work on using chords’ notes for the solo. Yeah, I lack confidence and many other things lol
Thanks @fezz parka
So tonight I was playing simple triads over the A section starting at the 12th fret 5th string for the i 14th fret 5th string for the ii and 12th fret on the 6th string for the V7 and found more holes in my ability lol !
Something that should be routine wasn’t and I need to fix that .
Edit : Actually I was playing arpeggios not just triads .
I would rather hear a coherent thematic melody than a bunch of turkeys-on-acid mindless widdly-woo.
Thank you my brother <3
The backing track has been pulled, and I would ask that anyone who has downloaded it not repost it in it's original form. Thanks.
I've been working on this tonight, (downloaded it when you first posted) so I was somewhat taken aback to see you've pulled the track. If you'd rather I don't post my take when I've come up with a theme, I totally respect that.
Oh I would love to hear it.
I was sitting around listening to tunes before I go to sleep and this one came on. It has the cadence in it.
Even before we got off the plane in Italy, I managed to rip the fingernail on my first finger, right hand. The last night, a mozzie decided to put its evil probiscus just where the inside of my wrist rests on a Strat. So, the reason this sounds as if I'm playing it rather gingerly is it hurts! Now it's your turn to share the pain...
Any resemblence to a pre-existing tune is purely deliberate.
The SoundCloud algorithms must be in meltdown. This is how it catagorises my take: #Electronic #Electronic Rock #Krautrock. Yeah, and Kraftwerk were an oompah band!
You mean they weren't and you are? Run away quick.
There goes my idea for Mindless Widdly-woo Workshop.
No one's stopping you. Just don't do it round here!
Go for it Dado !
Instead of widdly-dee though maybe a punk style workshop.
I think it's been done already.
This chord progression would make a great punkish tune. In fact it already has. ( what's an extra chromatic step between friends)
