Here's my take on the PRS S2 Standard 22!
Please subscribe and like! Enjoy!
Nice demo, thanks for sharing.
You will like it! For my playing, I'm a little bit not sure if I want to change the pickups or not...
These satin S2's are the real 'sleeper best buy' in the entire PRS range. The only problem is getting them. My Sweetwater guy says they won't have them until "this Fall".
Love my S2. If it had any downfall, it would be the knobs on the push pull tone pot.
When my fingers get sweaty, those knobs became a pain to pull out. I ended up changing the knobs.
Check the used market!
Awesome. I'm considering pulling the trigger on that very same guitar. GASing for a HH guitar and still kicking myself for selling my CE-24.
Hate to resurrect a dead thread, but I got an antique White S2 Standard 22 in trade a couple of months ago, and have been very happy with it so far. I have no complaints in terms of playability or tones. I never thought I'd be playing a PRS (the whole "dentist" thing...), but this one is changing my mind.
I played an s2 Mira a couple times in a shop nearby and fell in love with it. I reserved it now and will get it in November
Good deal! That's one of the last of the S2 Miras; they (along with the S2 Starla) were discontinued at the end of 2018/beginning of 2019. PRS has just resurrected the Mira (and Starla) as SE models for 2020.
Yeah, the guy told me the same thing. He was at the factory (quite a trip for him from Austria ) recently, where they dropped the news.
This model seems to be one of the earlier ones (judging by the one piece alluminum block - or did they also install them in the recent ones?) I tried the guitar a few months before and all through my vacation I desperately hoped that it was still there when I would come back. I was lucky, played it over my own amp and was hooked on the tone and playability.
I have to shell out 1500€ for it, but considering the quality it's a steal. I couldn't believe my eyesat first, but it's a one piece body....
I too have an S2. The value in the used market is exceptional. Dave's Guitar https://davesguitar.com/products/pa...ric/condition/used/page/2/?orderby=price-desc used to regularly have quite a few "used" ones. In quotes because I bought mine "used" from them, but it was clear that it was never played. I only see one on their website now though.
Anyway, great guitar. I wanted a mahogany HH guitar that was not a Les Paul. It fits the bill, though I have toyed with the idea of changing out the pickups.
