Long time listener, first time caller. Just wanted to say thanks to vid1900 for the heads up on this. I picked up one of the LPB Player Strats (my first Strat, in fact) and am very happy with it. It arrived in need of a proper set-up (and also a fret level on the higher frets, it turns out), but I just picked it up from my guitar tech this weekend and I cannot put it down.

I was actually surprised that the frets needed work because it's my third electric guitar but the first that needed a fret level right out of the box (and I don't recall that being an issue that's remarked upon often with regard to the Player series) but with that little bit of work and a set-up, this guitar plays and sounds great and I am extremely happy with the acquisition.

Anyway, thanks vid1900, and keep up the good work.

I think they put more blue guitars on sale than any other color.

Thanks vid1900. I got in on the sale last week.

I have been watching the interweb for a Lake Placid Blue American Pro or G&L Legend, that weighs under 7.5 lbs. After watching for over a year, I decided to take a chance on the LPB Player, sale. Not only is the guitar flawless, but the weight is around 7 lbs. Now I have to decide if I want to keep it original and sounding slightly darker than my other Strat's, or swap the pickguard with American Yosemite's or Texas Special's.

This is a great deal considering that I bought the blue player tele last year for GBP 519, then upgraded the PUs to Vintage Noiseless for GBP 129, and then swapped the string-tree for the frictionless variety for GBP 5. Total of GBP 653 or USD 849.
