I have an amp for sale on FB market place for $375 (Blackstar Studio 20) and I have an offer for trade for a G&L ASAT Deluxe Tribute.

Not really enthused about a humbucker guitar but....looks very tempting.

Would this be a fair trade?

it's pretty and its sort of in the zone... ebay completed listings run from like 290 to 500...

If you're just itching to dump the amp for something new, and the G&L interests you, then that's not a bad deal. But if you're just hoping to maybe flip the G&L for more that might be a gamble simply because it might take longer to move (IMO).

    Tough call.
The G&L Tributes are extremely nice guitars, but they are Asian imports, and many of the parts are not compatible with the Fullerton models.

I think the trade value does not come out in your favor... recent sales on Reverb of the carved-top model are averaging $300

Just did a quicky reverb check and $549 new, $400-475 used. I think you're right it would be in the zone. Don't really need another HB guitar but I'm thinking wtf, it does look nice and G&L makes good stuff.

Wanted to sell the amp strictly for money and I'm a guitar keeper not a flipper. I'm thinking this is one of those moments where I say what the hell, this is a good trade and go for it.

Price tag seems in the right range... what about shipping ? Or will this be a in person trade ?

I would assume the amp will cost more to ship than the guitar based on weight...

I like the guitar. I would be very tempted by that trade offer. Heck, who am I kidding? I would probably do it.

In 6 months I've had zero offers for the amp on Craigs List and FB.

In that case, and considering the time you've had that amp advertized without a bite, take the trade ! You never have enough guitars !

I need another guitar like Dolly Parton needs bigger.....eyes.

I wasn't looking for this, it just happened like a divine intervention so I must accept this act from the gods.

Just use the classic line: I went to sell my amp and this followed me home !
