Senior Stratmaster
Its a V Mod Jazzmaster pickup which is more like a cross between a Tele bridge pickup and a hotter Strat pickup. Is that a jaguar pup?

I milled it from hard maple to fit snug in the normal trem block rout, then screwed the plate to the block and body same as normal except the block cannot move, so its a hardtail.Tell me about that block!?!
Man I love plaintop Les Pauls...
I like the classic JM tone too but the V mod JM really is a whole nother beast.I knew that!!! Lol I have no idea why I said jaguar… I even had a jazz View attachment 564775 master for time.
Beefy. More winds, more resistance higher output.I like the classic JM tone too but the V mod JM really is a whole nother beast.
On the left is a RI Fender JM pickup with the normal wide flat coil and on the right is the V mod.

That’s a 68’ Drip Edge… it sounds wonderful! Just got it a few months ago. The Strat has a lot of 68’ parts on it also. I’ve had it a long time. I also have a 64’ CS Deluxe Reverb.Damn! How does that vintage pro reverb sound? I have the custom 68 reissue and it’s immaculate
Cool pic, cool pair. These 2 since I play bass just as much as guitar. The current favourite guitar though. I only have the one bass. View attachment 564778
The letters have turned greenish and the nylon knobs have a great color. As I understand, the same knobs were used from the late 50s until the early 70s.Nice! Did gold lettering turn green or did the knobs come with green?
