Looking to buy a used Tele MIM but want to make sure it’s real. I’m just getting into electric guitars as I’ve always had acoustic. Post says N3 pick ups were added. Besides that the only thing I was suspicious about was the serial # just looks a tad odd? Any info will help, thanks!

Do some research on whether you want noiseless pickups.

Or you can just play it and see if you like 'em!

    Good luck

Serial number comes back as a MIM Standard Tele made at the Fender Ensenada plant in 2012-2013.

I have a 2007 American Standard in the same colors with a rosewood neck, although I can't tell if yours has a pearloid pickguard or not. It's my first Tele also and I just love it.

Not sure of the differences between the Am. and MX versions though.

Looks fine to me. As an FYI the serial number decals are 2 pieces - one piece has the "Serial Number" and the "MX--" (in this case "MX12" since it's a 2012-2013); the other piece is the 6-digit individual number. It's not unusual for the 2 parts to be slightly misaligned.

Gave that to the OP already.

Don't know why he keeps askin' but to know whether or not it's a fake I'd need better pics than those. From those pics it looks fine.

Its 100% legit. I wish i could buy same guitar, it was my first telecaster that i have sold after 2 years. Shame, stupid me. Best guitar i have ever owned. Hope Fender will add it again to player series

Looks legit to me. If you wind up buying it and don’t like the pickups, you can always replace them.
