Are MIJ LPs really undesirable with Stratocaster lovers? :( Been trying to ask around in our local community to trade/ swap this Burny LP 90s made guitar but no takers or they just don't want it. Why.. .. ?

The pickups are even upgraded and even the saddles but nobody even wants to purchase it.

Nothing wrong with the guitar, perfect frets and tone but I just feel comfortable in playing a Stratocaster.

What sort of strat are you looking to trade it for? Burny makes respectable stuff, but not a lot of players are familiar with them. That might be the problem right there.

Maybe someone here would do a trade? You could also try to outright sell it. List it!

    Good luck!

Sell it. Use the forum Classifieds in addition to FB Marketplace and Offer up, etc. probably isn’t going to fetch a lot of dough though. You could try My Les Paul forum, there may be Burny collectors over there.

I'm not picky... even Players Strat will do for me. Heck, I can even top-up the cash if the Strat is MIA but still no takers. Waaaaah o_O:(

Kinda shows you what a Gibson would really be worth if it didn't have Gibson on the headstock. People pay lot for a name, because of what they think that name represents.

I'd be all over that Burny if it was in the UK.

The biggest issue I think is that it looks so much like a les paul, but it isn't.

Half a year ago I traded a Les Paul Standard for a Clapton strat. Couldn't be happier. The les paul rocked, but so does the strat!

It's worth further considering keeping it. Having both a Les Paul and a Strat covers a lot of sonic ground.
I am foremost a Strat player and found Les Pauls very uncomfortable to play. After a while though I got used to it and find them easier to play certain tunes.

Thanks both, I guess this is more desirable in the West than here in South East Asia.

Yeah, true. I'm just considering in just keeping it if I don't really get the price I want ($715USD) or get a nice Strat.

It looks great and all actually.. perfect frets and intonation.

I would not hesitate to trade that for a decent guitar

If I had a Player Strat I'd swap you in a minute.

It's worth more to certain people but they might be few and far in between. To a strat player its not a strat and to an LP player it isn't a Gibson so "player" prices are lower than value in most cases and it takes a patient seller to get that higher sale.

I'd be all over that. List it in the MIJ thread on My Les Paul...much more interest there.

    Yeah good point.

It is always big brand here in my City like Fender, Gibson, PRS and Ibanez that are very easy to sell.
