I'm too far away and have nothing right now to trade you, but it got me curious to look closely at maybe acquiring one of those.

I would rock a Burny no problem – aren't they something to do with Fernandes Guitars!? I've had one or two of those – and they were great!!

Around here the "off-brand" stuff sits around forever. People don't want to take a chance on something that they've never heard of. Which is too bad, because there are plenty of cool guitars out there. But unless it has Gibson, Epiphone, Fender, PRS, etc. on the headstock it's going to be very hard to sell.

Burny's have been around since the 1970s and are sought after this side of the pond, especially the old ones.

Imho Burny makes a fine guitar, period. Had I known what they were several years ago I wouldn't have procrastinated and let a used beauty with a slim taper neck slip thru my hands. Like others stated many ppl look at them as just another "knock off" but they are killer guitars. Good luck on your quest.

How about you keep the Burny – and start saving HARD for the Player!? It's everybody else's loss – and your gain :) !

Try forums for gibsons or other short scale instruments.

Quite desirable in the USA too. Most “lawsuit” Les Pauls are.

Just me, but if you gave me an LP, I'd trade it for a Fender or Gretsch. I just have never been an LP person. But that's just me. Good luck selling it - looks like a fine guitar.

Yeah, I've never had a chance to play one myself but I've heard great things about them. Unfortunately people around here see anything that's not a Fender/Gibson/PRS/etc. as just a knock-off. Which is too bad because I would take an old Burny or Greco over something like a newer Epiphone for the same price.

I'm glad to see everyone here has such a high opinion of Burnys, because I've just bought one. :D

From what I've read, they seem to be part of the same company, and they use the Fernandes brand for the Fender-types, and Burny for the Gibson-types.

+1 Hey OP - I play Strats and LPs - you need both to cover rock, blues, etc. I am not familiar with Burny or your Burny LP, however, if it's as good a player as you claim, I would keep it and save $$ for your Strat.

I find myself playing Strat tunes on Strats and LP tunes on LPs...same with Teles, 335s, P-90s, humbuckers, etc. Don't give up a good guitar. BTW...that's a very nice looking guitar! Keep it and save for your Strat. You need both. You may not yet realize it...

They don’t know what it is. Put it up in a few forums. It will sell and you can buy your Strat.

Thank you both. Yeah. I'm really considering to just keep it. It absolutely plays really great and as usual for Japanese made guitar, it is near flawless / perfect workmanship.

It's just that, I just play 80% my strats most of the time coz they are just much easier to play when sitting down and easier upper fret access. :D

I actually received an offer for $560USD but I feel that the guy is lowballing me... LOL

For now, I'll just let it sit on our local Craigslist and if still no takers in a month, I might as well just keep it.

That is an awesome guitar! Are you really sure you wanna sell or trade it? Those Japanese guitars are great. I’ve had some pro line Japanese gretsch duo jets and my dad has an Edwards LP custom.
I basically did the same thing you’re trying to do; just sold my last duo jet to get another strat!
