I've always been a fan of the red knob amps, owned a number of them and will probably own another in the future. I've also been a real fan of the particular Popa Chubby live recording and finally saw the video today. Red knob amps!

Love my red knob The Twin. Seriously under valued/appreciated amp.

This vid's almost ten years old, but still a good one to demo this amp:

I also have the black knob version of that Twin. Can't believe I carried that amp up and down stairways to play some of those jobs. I always used it at the 25W setting and even then it was too much in some of those rooms. Still, the 25W setting has a beautiful (to me) tubey sweetness when playing clean.

    He’s a great player.

I’ve still got my Red knob Super 60. A studio tech suggested it to me to use back in the 90s and his sounded so good and was so adaptable I bought one used for 200 quid.

It has had a few tweaks and mods by techs over the years and each time got better and better.

It now has a quieter and lush reverb, tighter and sweeter OD channel. It weighs like it’s made of solid concrete. I got rid of the red knobs too as I didn’t like them.

I have a Super Rack (AKA Super 60 Rack Mount). I've had it since like the 90's and I just don't know what to do with it. I don't use it but I don't seem to care about selling it. Maybe I need to find a cabinet to run it through.

Had a Red Knob SS Pro 185 that I gigged, toured with, and recorded with for a decade, until my ears went bad. Weighed a ton. Sounded great. People harsh on these amps, especially the gain channel, but I listen back to those recordings and the thing sounds ferocious.
