It’s been my observation that both sides are full of crap and I always seem to have to watch my step no matter which way I try to go............:D

I have a dog the loves to run. She runs a full stride and has made an oval in the grass of the back yard. She does not slow down for the corners but leans over like one would on a motorcycle. She must have been a cafe racer in a previous life. But she always circles her track clockwise. She was a rescued dog. Maybe she knew your cats. o_O

Oh good. Send him to DC. Someone will likely want to make a Supreme Court Justice outta him too. He has that Clarence Thomas look about him and he has his own ***** hair.

Our cats are spoiled, they think carrion is a type of luggage.

They all develop behavioral quirks, eventually. Some are born with them. Ollie is a bird cat. He only played (he's 17, he doesn't really play anymore) with toys that appear to fly (like the bit of cloth on the end of a string). Zeke (RIP) only played with ground objects, snake-like stuff was his crack. He would chase my belt or a bit of yarn I twitched along the floor until he couldn't stand up...and he was clumsy, not graceful. Ollie is a calculating panther where Zeke was a buffoon.

Ollie's water bowl is tucked between his hard food and his soft food (the three bowls touch...we've been doing that with all of our cats since 1985). I guess they never got the message about contamination (which is, um, 'unsubstantiated'). He loves to tease the dog by taking over the dogs water bowl. I have to chase him off of it because Rocket is a wimp. Ollie will drink from the dog bowl until he pukes (which he does a lot anyway). I think he's attempting a denial of service with the dog water by drinking it all. It is bigger than he is, heck he could swim in it. Doesn't stop him.

Ollie drinks from the edge of the bowl, the far edge. If the bowl is too big, he will step in the water to reach the far edge...unless it is too deep (like the dog's bowl). We learned that lesson early, water everywhere since he would start drinking, step in, yank out the foot and shake it violently to get the water off...and then lather, rinse and repeat until he wasn't thirsty any more (and the floor was swimming, complete with wet cat prints leading off somewhere). We got him a bowl sized just right for him...no further issues.

Its fine, as long as they don't start refusing to go to the vet when it's vaccination time.
