Bobby was a very old school and modest fellow and he was the best player I have ever played with. He was 70+ years old but was tougher than my ass and smarter than most his age or people my age. Dude was from Fullerton CA.

He was a good man, loved good music and always helped me in anyway he could.

He played with BB King once and won a Battle of the Bands at a GC BB King went to and was the judge for. When Mr.King saw Bobby and his band play he declared them the winners of the Battle of the Bands and not only that but he also felt obliged to play with Bobby and his band because he just loved the way Bobby laid down those lines on Bass on his vintage 70s P-Bass in natural finish.

He really was not just the best bass player I ever had the pleasure of playing with but he was just the best player I ever played with or ever will play with period. I would always just jam and he would just start playing because he wanted to and he would hardly play with anyone else......

The way he knew exactly what to lay down and play on top of what I played in an instant was pure magic....I would just play and he would lay it down like a master. Players and people like that are amazing and Bobby was one of those.

When ever he saw me or heard me play he would give the best compliments and just say "I'm glad your playing and doing something different these other jokers arent, your playing real music like it was meant to be played"......"You can feel what your playing kid"...... I never really understood what that meant but it meant the world.

No one elses opinion or consideration as a player mattered more than his.

Whenever we played he would say "I havent played real music like that in a while, your an amazing guitar player and I can jive and feel it. Makes me feel young again"....."Your one of the best players I have played with" he would say and I just said "thank you it means so much" not knowing what else to say......

He would be there when I played an open mic or at the same coffee shop when I was studying late night and always let me bum a smoke in the coldest nights or let me borrow a dollar or two for coffee to get me through the night and study.

Bobby didnt make it last year.....

I regret not taking a picture with him or trying to find him during the pandemic. From time to time he would pop in my head and I always prayed and hoped he was doing well but damn.......

He just didnt make it and well damn.....Bobby where ever you are man. Thank you for being in my life man.

You were so dope and always a pleasure to talk to and just thanks for being there when I played and playing with me when you could man or just hanging and talking man......

Miss you dude and will meet you one day again when my time comes too.

Will never be another like you in million years or infinity. Thanks for being there Bobby
