I bought this neck

It´s pretty great. Fender says it´s a modern C neck but it feels much bigger. My crude measurements are 1. fret 0.87" and 12. fret 0.94" which doesn´t fit with a modern C. According to this chart my neck seems more like a Large C. So I was wondering if anybody else had tried this neck. Are all these necks like this or is mine just a "mistake"?

It´s not like a little different from a modern c, it´s much bigger. Today neckprofiles of the same kind, don´t differ that much. If you play a couple of Fender Player Stratocasters they are all gonna feel pretty similar.

Maybe the replacement necks aren’t has consistent as the regular production stuff? Do you like that it’s more a large C or were you hoping for the smaller modern C?

Why should the replacement stuff not be consistent? It´s probably made on the same machines. I think the neck is great. I was thinking about buying another for another guitar if the neck profiles are all like this.

I really don’t know. You got a bigger neck then a modern C. Take it as a win if you like it. Order another one or 3 and really see how consistent they are. I think that’s what we’re saying here. I machine cuts the rough shape. A human does the final shaping. You could get maybe 2 out of 5 that are bigger or the other way around.

Your measurements ( crude by your admission )
sync with the LARGE C shown at the bottom right of the attached photo.
