Which do you prefer. Rolled or unrolled, I have both and really have no issue with unrolled. Is there an advantage to rolled?

I don't have an issue with sharp but i hace come to prefer rolled. I prefer naturally rolled too but true ring wear takes a long time to achieve.

Rolled. Once you have rolled you don't go back.

Because I scallop all my fretboards I don't feel the edge as much, but even so I still roll the edges for the extra comfort.

    Rolled feels "right".

    .

Rolled has the edges eased like a vintage guitar.

If you really want to evaluate if you should do it/have it or not, then find a Squier Strat and see how they carve the neck so there is a knife edge on the fretboard. MIM/MIA has flats so the edge is less apparent. Squier's it feels like you are holding the edge of a knife.

I'm not that experienced, but when my ship comes in, I plan to roll the edges of my EOB. The edges damn near cut me. I've adapted by playing, but still.

As long as the fret ends aren’t sharp.. it’s ok with me either way.

I always roll the edges if they are sharp. To me, it makes a substantial difference in playing comfort.

I use both but prefer rolled. More comfortable when using my thumb to fret bass notes.

So true. My un-rolled necks now feel like I'm playing a knife edge! Rolled edges only for me now.

It's a long time since I found a neck with sharp edges. I don't even think about it.

Didn’t know this was a thing.
Never had sharp edges , even on cheap guitars.

Rolled edges are something which, if I didn’t know they were a thing, I’d never know they were a thing, if you know what I mean. I’d probably played for 25 years before I ever heard of this feature.

A guitar either feels good to play, or it doesn’t so much...I have guitars with rolled edges and without that all feel great.

OK-People talk about "rolled edges" and I nod but I'm not sure exactly what they mean. To roll the edges are we talking about the frets or both the frets and the Fretboard? Wouldn't that take the finish off?

Rolled is a must on Fender Guitar. A Highway One guitar that I owned years ago had the best rolled neck ever. My new American Special Strat is a close second.
