I knew it, just holding my tongue. I've got Johnny Rivers. On vinyl, no less!

Yeah it is but I grew up listening to a lot of 50s and 60s music. CBS FM was regularly playing in my house.

Mike - nice job on Lights (tonenut - you were close). You have to complete that one!

I didn't know the Journey or Aerosmith riffs! Neither band was very 'big' here. Aerosmith didn't have a hit single or a top 40 album until Pump. Don't think Journey ever had either here - probably best known as the band that wrote that song from Glee!

Hey Scatman, nice to see someone else is a fan of the much-maligned bridge pup.

bchaffin - if I'm not mistaken (no guitar here at work sadly!) that's D-A-G-A. I keep thinking there's probably quite a few songs that would fit but can't place one yet.

OK we have two contenders to be identified. That's double your chances! Step right up, name one and then dazzle us with a new riff.

Scatman's is a wonderfully played La Bamba. I'm still not sure on bchaffin's.

This should be easy to some of you...maybe not so much for others.

Edit: sorry for the super low volume but this was 5:30am and I didn't want to wake the house.

It might fit a few songs, but I could say it's all Lies.

I could compare it to a kiss from a Rose, but I'd rather stick to my Guns. Like I said, it's all lies. Lies, I tell you!

Well, not a big fan of either band, so I can kind of understand the lack of appeal.

    Nice La Bamba scatman!

Bchaffin and Mouse, although the riffs are familiar I can't put my finger on them...

One more for the Blues lovers in the house, see if you can see past the rust and name it.

...watching that video I'm realizing my flying pinkie is flailing worse than ever, my God that thing is out of control.

Mike - can't place that one. Sounds like a cool Texas shuffle to me but not sure of the song. Well played though. I feel you on the pinky thing. I play my guitar like I sip my English tea!

Yep, Hideaway. I knew I'd heard it plenty, just couldn't get the name to come to me.

Anyway, I think I've given enough for people to get both the band and album of mine.
