Lick it up!
My wife has season tickets to The Aronoff Center here. A performing arts center for plays, musicals, etc. One of the shows was “Jersey Boys”, about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. She played me this song. I’ve heard some of his or their stuff before, but was surprised I hadn’t heard this one. It’s close but not quite accurate I think. Not my genre, but I’d like to sit down with this one and really try to work it out more.
Great tune. I'm sorry I got in here late as I'd have definitely gotten that. It's one of my favorite songs and long on my list to cover. Well played!
Edit: double post
Bit boomy on this recording, had the phone leaning on the little THR5
I can't name that one @stratocarlster but I'm digging the classy sport jacket. I barely wear pants these days!
It definitely sounds familiar. I don’t think this is it, but whenever I think I’m close to the Eureka! moment, The Romantics - Talking In Your Sleep keeps popping in my head. Fogging me up. It sounds good though.
Ha yeah we're pretty much back to normality here, back at work and having meetings etc
Thought I might stump you guys with 606 .. it's a pop song from 2012.
Apologies in advance for the wilful obscurity of this riff. You gotta admit it's kinda catchy though. My son suggested the riff. It's an Australian band you've almost certainly never heard of. That's my boy playing the riff and me trying to play rhythm
So I said to the boy he better atone by playing one that someone else might know...
Angie by the Stones!
Baby Animals band?
Parts of the riff reminded me of them...
Tumbling Dice - Stones
Got it !
Such an iconic riff at the start of that song .
I had to sing along until I remembered what it was lol .
Keef has so many iconic riffs ... Dude is a musical treasure .
