Does anyone know of a manufacturer that interprets their s-type design with a slightly smaller body? aside from MusicMan and their cutlass, of course. I love my Strat, but they always feel a bit big.

Other people hate them, I like Affinity Squiers. Like that girl in the story with the bears. Just right. :D

Yamaha Pacifica bodies are a little smaller, I think. Or, the way they're shaped makes them look and feel smaller.

Jackson Dinky, Ibanez Joe Satriani, if you can find an old G&L Climax.
Squier are the same profile, just a bit thinner.

Another trick is to get a Squier Mini and swap necks with a standard Strat model.
The Squier Mini is a short scale student model, but the measurement from the bridge to the neck pocket is the same as a full-sized Strat, so a standard neck can be installed to bring it to the normal scale length.

Affinity's are thinner, but not smaller in the lateral dimension.

Many Superstrat guitars are 7/8 sized bodies. Like the Jackson Dinky, Charvel Pro Mod So Cal, ESP/LTD Horizon, some Ibanez models, and Fender just released a new signature model Strat (sorry but I can't remember which one) that has a slightly smaller body.

This is true, and I did not dispute that. I was just clarifying. Because I'm a self proclaimed internet expert.:D

That's the one I was thinking of and couldn't remember.

Fender makes too many damned sig models. I can't keep them all straight anymore.

I have a Harley Benton Mini-strat ($77) which I play surprisingly often. It's tuned to A. If you like treble, he's yr guy. You'd probably look silly on a stage though.

    I don't think so.....

If the devil came and said "I will trade you your abilities on guitar with __________ for you to use as you wish." I would be all "nah, screw that I would rather be me." Then the devil says, "How about with Corey Wong..." and I am like, all sweating bullets and thinking really hard.

So I try not to think about Corey Wong.

Warmoth does a 7/8. They were the original supplier to Valley Arts.
